A: You have a slight problem. If Lock-Me! is currently running then you will have to either force quit (option-command-escape, this may freeze the computer) or restart. Then you must chuck the file "Password Prefs" located in your System Folder into the trash. You must now enter a new password (steps 10-13 in "How to install").
Q: What if I want to remove Lock-Me!?
A: Simply delete the FKEY resource with ID 0 called "Lockme" using ResEdit.
Q: What if I want to change the <number> in the command-shift-<number> combination to lock my computer?
A: Using resedit open the System File. Open the FKEY resource, click on the "Lockme" resource. Hit "Get Info" (command-I) and change the ID to the digit you would like to use.
Q: How come •'s don't appear when I'm changing my password?
A: Personally I never change passwords when people are looking, and I find it useful to be able to see if I make any typos. If you want the •'s then email me, if enough people feel that •'s are better then I'll change it.
Q: How is the password encoded?
A: Secret.
Q: People keep trashing my "Password Prefs" file.. what can I do about this?
A: Open the file with resedit, select "Get File Info" and click the little "Invisible" button. This will make the file invisible. (To make it visible again do the opposite)
